It’s safe to say that the Kia EV6 created some buzz in the EV market when it was first launched a few years ago. The Hyundai Ioniq 5’s mechanical twin was a Kia like no other with the brand announcing its commitment to electric power in a sleek and styling way.

The Kia EV6 made its world premiere in March 2021 and it has been three years since it was shown to the world. In a bid to keep things interesting, the South Korean automaker is set to roll out the updated model soon.

Kia has shown the first photos of the new EV6. It’s a pair of teaser shots for now, but it does give us several hints of the new look.

At the front, we see a totally new headlight design. The triangular headlight design has been replaced by a more dynamic and aggressive look. Its grille (not that electric cars need one) has also been given a few more character lines. We’re expecting changes to the bumper as well.

Changes to the rear are more subtle. You’ll notice the redesigned tail light pattern. As far as we can tell, it’s largely similar to the current model. As for the interior, we’re expecting tweaks to the dash and cabin, along with software updates for the infotainment system.

Speaking of things we could expect in the ’25 Kia EV6, there might be a couple of upgrades to the powertrain. Given that the Ioniq 5 received the option of a larger battery pack, it’s likely that the EV6 might benefit from that, too.

At the time of writing, there is no word regarding the premiere date. However, given that the teasers are out, it could be fully revealed in a matter of weeks or in a few months.
