Kia has unveiled three new variants of its fully electric PV5 multipurpose van at the 2026 Busan International Mobility Show (BIMOS). The expanded lineup is part of the Korean manufacturer’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy, which integrates multiple body types and interior configurations into a single vehicle model.
The three new variants showcased were the PV5 Passenger Seven-Seater, the PV5 Prime, and the PV5 Cargo High-Roof. Each has its own specialized use case, enabling customers to choose the configuration that best suits their needs.
The PV5 Prime features a more premium experience with a spacious interior and independent rear seats on a rail system. The seats also have armrests with cupholders, leather upholstery, and extendable footrests.

The PV5 Cargo High-Roof, on the other hand, caters to business owners requiring electric cargo solutions. This variant is a panel van with a cabin height of 1,815mm, around 295mm taller than the standard PV5 Cargo. With its spacious interior, it can easily be fitted with hangers, shelves, and storage compartments for specific transportation needs.
Meanwhile, the PV5 Passenger Seven-Seater, from its name, features a seven-seat interior in a 2-2-3 configuration. With the layout’s easy access to the third row, this variant not only caters as a family van, but also as a rental shuttle or a company service vehicle.
