As more people choose crossovers and SUVs over sedans, it’s nice to know that several luxury automakers aren’t willing to give up on the body style just yet. Just take a look at Lexus, for instance.
Lexus has some of the widest variety of sedans in the market today. There’s the sporty IS, the cushy ES, and the opulent LS. That said, all of them are getting rather long in the tooth.

Granted, the IS and the LS got updates this decade, but one model needs a bit of a nip and tuck. We are, of course, talking about the middle child, the ES. Well, it seems that the facelifted version is coming soon, as suggested by a leaked manual online.
The current generation Lexus ES made its premiere in late 2018. Since then, it hasn’t had any major updates. It’s a bit of a surprise given that the ES is the company’s best-selling sedan worldwide. Either way, it’s well due for a facelift, especially after six years on the market.
So, what to expect? As far as we can tell, there are a few tweaks to the headlights, likely to follow the form of more current Lexus models. There has also been a revision to the spindle grille. As for the rear, we could expect full width tail lights like the ones seen in the new NX and RX crossovers.

But it’s on the inside where we might see more dramatic changes. Chief among which is the new infotainment display. Based on the leaked illustrations, it will finally have the same layout as those in the latest Lexus models. That means a much larger screen that’s connected to the instrument cluster shroud. A new digital cluster is also to be expected. With that, we might expect a heap of software upgrades to the executive sedan.
It’s still unknown when the updated Lexus ES will make its debut. However, it’s possible that it could be sooner than later given the model’s age.
