Two facts: The Lexus GX is now officially available on the local market, and Anne Curtis was the first-ever customer.
Okay, okay—you may or may not care about that second bit, so we’ve got a few more facts to make your reading worthwhile.

As we have correctly deduced from the pre-launch sighting of the vehicle earlier this month, our market gets the non-hybrid Lexus GX550. This variant is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that generates 349hp and 649Nm of torque. An electrified version may be launched here down the line—you may have noticed that Lexus has been dutifully adding to its hybrid and electric offerings.
For now, we’re getting two trim lines. Check them out below:
Lexus GX550 2024 variants and prices

- Lexus GX550 3.5 V6 Overtrail – P7,578,000
- Lexus GX550 3.5 V6 Premier – P8,578,000
Note that we said “we’re getting” these particular units, but actually getting one could entail a long wait. According to our sources, there are about 50 to 60 customers in line for a unit right now, and that waiting list is more likely to get longer rather than shorter given the clamor for this full-size SUV.
The third-generation model gets a substantial price bump over its predecessor, which retailed for P5,960,000. That said, this is the first all-new GX in 14 years, and while the previous version was periodically updated over its lifespan, this current one packs all the latest tech in Lexus’ arsenal.
