If there’s one new Lexus that we’re sure you guys are waiting to see here, it’s the GX550. When we put out our story from our drive sometime last year, a lot of you clicked to read it. Like, a lot.

Today, we’ve got news for you: Lexus Philippines is launching something new “soon.” Just how soon? We’re not sure. And what model exactly? Well...it might not be the GX people have been waiting for. There’s a new teaser out on social media, and it looks like the LBX is arriving first.

In case you haven’t heard of it yet, the LBX is the smallest car Lexus has ever built. It’s also built on the same TNGA-B platform as the European-spec Yaris Cross, so that should give you an idea of how small it is. And yes, it’s also a hybrid.

But what makes us think it’s the LBX that’s on its way? Go check out the teaser photo below.

The taillight pattern here checks out. Heck, even the body color checks out. And of course, if you squint your eyes, you’ll see that there’s a badge on the bottom right that starts with an L and doesn’t seem long enough to spell out ‘Lexus.’ For reference, we’ll put the actual photo of the LBX’s tailgate below.

Again, we’ve no word on when this launch will be, but we reckon ‘coming soon’ means in the coming months. We’ll see.
