Mercedes-Maybach and newly minted Philadelphia 76er LeBron James have collaborated to create two “near-identical” 2027 Mercedes-Maybach S680 custom models. One will be kept for James’ personal collection while the other will be auctioned, with proceeds going to the LeBron James Family Foundation.
The special-edition S-Class had design input from James and features a light ivory exterior with matching paint on the body and wheels. On the fender, you’ll find James’ logo, which you’ll see more of in the cabin. The S680 still features a large front grille, which helps feed air into the massive 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 under the hood. The engine produces 621hp and 900Nm of torque, and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Moving to the interior, the cabin is finished in Stormy Weather Nappa leather, which appears as light blue in contrast with the porcelain white stitching. As expected from the S680, backseat occupants have abundant luxury features including two touchscreen displays behind the front row, seatback tables, a champagne refrigerator, a 4D-audio sound system, and power-reclining seats with leg rests, heating, ventilation, and massage functions.

The interior also has more of James’ logos and details referencing his family and hometown of Akron, Ohio. As mentioned, this S680 will be auctioned with proceeds heading to the LeBron James Family Foundation, which supports education, housing, job training, and family wellness in Akron.
“I had the incredible opportunity to be part of the creative process for these two customized Mercedes-Maybach S-Class vehicles—one for my own collection, and a near-identical version to be auctioned off in support of my foundation and the families we serve in Akron, which is very close to my heart,” said LeBron James. “There will only ever be two in the world made like this, which makes them incredibly special and unique.”
