The MG G50 PHEV has officially begun sales in the Philippines

MG has officially begun retail sales and deliveries of its newly launched G50 PHEV. Distributed by SAIC Motor Philippines, the first batch of customer units was formally turned over to their new owners.

The turnover ceremony was held in MG Alabang, where the keys to the two units were handed over to customers Mauro Cortez and Reginald Gregorio. Mr. Cortez plans to utilize his MPV for furniture business operations, while Mr. Gregorio will use his as a family hauler for everyday trips.

The G50 PHEV attracted lots of visitors at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show. Since its unveiling, MG has secured over 800 reservations for the plug-in hybrid MPV.

At a glance, the G50 PHEV is a seven-seater with captain seats in the second row and standard seats in the third row that also fold for extra cargo space. It has a plug-in hybrid system with a combined range of 1,415km, and has a starting price of P1,398,888.

The official release of the G50 PHEV is a key component to MG’s expanding lineup in the Philippines. With a growing dealership network and aftersales support, MG says it looks to offer customers a smart and flexible entry point into electrified driving.

“This turnover represents an exciting milestone for MG Motor Philippines as we begin delivering the G50 PHEV to our customers,” said MG Motor Philippines president Wei Wei Zhang. “We are encouraged by the positive response to this model, and we remain committed to providing Filipino motorists with innovative mobility solutions that combine performance, efficiency, and everyday usability.”
