It’s no secret that the XForce hybrid is coming soon, but it’s only now that Mitsubishi Motors has finally confirmed its impending debut. Not only that, the company has mentioned a date for it.
Ladies and gentlemen, mark your calendars on March 20, 2025, as the Mitsubishi XForce hybrid makes its world premiere. This is a make of break product for the brand, especially as hybrids are gaining significant momentum in Southeast Asia.

Motoring press in Thailand have shared invitation details about this launch, and it also seemingly confirms another thing. It won’t be called the XForce e:Motion after all. Instead, it will carry the name XForce HEV.

So far, those are the only details that Mitsubishi has mentioned. Also, we can expect its public debut in Thailand at the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show that’s set to open its doors a few days after the launch event.
That said, here are some of the things we’ve heard through the grapevine. The XForce HEV is said to utilize the same powertrain as the Xpander e:Motion. Instead of the familiar 1.5-liter engine, it’s replaced by a 1.6-liter Atkinson Cycle Engine paired with a compact battery and a single electric motor. Combined output is rated at 114hp and 255Nm and shifts with an e-CVT.

With that, this model is expected to benefit from other features such as 7 drive modes instead of four as seen in the standard XForce. These modes are Normal, Charge, EV, Wet, Gravel, Tarmac, and Mud. Active Yaw Control, already standard in the non-hybrid XForce, will likely be included as well.
As for other possible features, Thai publications report that it will be ‘fully loaded’ and come with an advanced driver assist system. We can also expect a few changes inside, namely a unique digital instrument cluster that integrates hybrid-related displays, along with an electromechanical gear selector like in the Xpander e:Motion.
