The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is pretty much a staple in the Philippine motoring landscape. That shouldn’t be much of a surprise given that it’s been in the market for a decade now. Yes, the G4 has been around that long.
Despite its age, it’s still a solid seller for Mitsubishi Motors Philippines. For the past ten years, all its had are updates and facelifts, and this year is no different. A new variant joins the Mirage G4 range. It’s called the Black Series, and safe to say the trim level is self-explanatory.

But hold on a minute, wasn’t there a G4 Black Series shown about two years ago? Yes, there was, but there’s a new feature added to the 2025 edition of it.
The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Black Series is based on the top-spec variant of the subcompact sedan. For this limited-run model, it gets black side mirrors and black alloy wheels. For a little more contrast, the chrome slats on the grille have been painted dark red. Same as the last one, then.

So, what sets this one apart from the one sold back in late 2022? Ambient lighting has been added and lights up the floor and center console. Don’t expect a multi-color system, though; this is a humble subcompact sedan. Oh, and it also gets a front arm rest like the previous G4 Black Series.
Other than the cosmetic additions, it’s still largely the same G4 that has been around for so long. The Mirage G4 last received a major update in 2021 and small improvements have been made since. The Philippine-spec hatchback didn’t even get the new look as seen in Thailand and other neighboring countries.

At the moment, there is still a huge question mark hanging above the Mirage’s future. But until then, Mitsubishi will keep building them as long as people keep buying them.
The 2025 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Black Series retails for P909,000, P10,000 over the standard GLS CVT.
