The Honda Super-One is slated to be a modern, fully electric kei car with some serious grunt. A curiously sounding Boost mode, along with an artificial engine sound package tied to a simulated seven-speed transmission, is all wrapped in a tiny, unassuming form factor.

Enter Mugen, and the Super-One now has the looks worthy of an electric pocket rocket. Following a glossy two-tone, beige and black color scheme, the Mugen Super-One still has a subdued impression, but those big Japanese characters and five-spoke wheels definitely demand your attention.

Judging by the ground clearance, it is unclear if Mugen actually lowered the Super-One or just gave it bigger tires to fill in the gaps. Either way, it’s an unoffensive look, and that is very sleek.

The loudest aspect of the build is probably the extended lip, which is complemented by a blacked-out rear bumper on the other end.

Mugen also added fender flares and air intakes on each corner of the Super-One, and it all connects seamlessly into the original body. We’re not sure how useful those air intakes are going to be on a kei car, but perhaps Boost mode will be more powerful than we think.

To cap it all off, there is a rear spoiler that looks to be made out of carbon fiber. From what we were able to see, Mugen left the interior and the lighting systems untouched. What do you guys think of Honda’s newest creation? Tell us in the comments.
