The next couple of years will be crucial for embattled Japanese automaker Nissan. With profits and margins in the red, the company desperately needs a shot in the arm to turn its fortunes around.

Of course, Nissan isn’t just sitting there and hoping for the best. The brand is taking drastic measures to keep it floating. Assembly lines will be consolidated, personnel will be ‘right-sized,’ and model development cycles will be shortened to roll out as many new and redesigned vehicles as quickly as possible.

It’s been reported that one of these will be the next-generation Navara. It was Australian motoring publication Drive who mentioned that it’ll be in Australia by the fourth quarter of 2025 and likely to be revealed earlier than that. As mentioned, this model is vital for Southeast Asia and Oceania where midsize pickups are a popular type of vehicle.

But these two markets are a small slice of Nissan’s global sales that need to bounce back. Where it needs regain footing is in the North American and Chinese markets, not to mention in its own home country.

With that, there are six more models to expect from Nissan. It consists of two hybrid models, two refreshed vehicles, and a pair of redesigned EVs.

For the hybrid models, the plug-in hybrid version of the Rogue (also known as the X-Trail) will appear by this year. Meanwhile, the Rogue e-Power, likely a redesigned model, is set to appear in showrooms by mid-2026.

Meanwhile in Japan, the home market can expect an all-new kei car, along with a ‘large minivan’ that’s up against the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire. The is likely to be the next-generation Elgrand and could follow the form of the Hyper Tourer concept we saw back in 2023. Both these models will roll out within the next two years.

As for the final pairing, that would be the next-generation LEAF and a small electric hatchback. The redesigned LEAF is expected to be a ‘reboot’ of sorts, likely to adapt a more crossover-like appearance over the current version’s compact hatchback body.

So far, those are the seven new and redesigned vehicles from Nissan we can expect down the line. With that, these don’t just have to be good, they need to be exceptional to lure in more customers and bring back faith in the brand.
