The impending launch of the next-generation Nissan Patrol is one of the more hotly anticipated debuts, well, of the year. Besides, it’s not often that the full-sized SUV gets a full model change. One has to remember that the last time this happened was all the way back in 2010.
Nissan Philippines is just as excited as you (probably) are. Which is why the company couldn’t resist sharing some details regarding its redesigned flagship SUV. With that, we now know its engine, along with some neat features we could expect in this model.

The engine choice shouldn’t be much of a surprise, if we’re being honest. Predictably, it’s the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that’s derived from the R35 GT-R. It’s great that Nissan went for this boosted six-cylinder as the other option was a naturally-aspirated 3.8-liter that makes less power than the 3.5-liter twin-turbo and the mighty 5.6-liter V8 from the outgoing model.

Speaking of power, the GT-R-based V6 is expected to make 425hp and 700Nm. It then shifts with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and Nissan Philippines has confirmed that it will ride on adaptive air suspension. Truth be told, we’re not too sure how we feel about that. We’re expecting a cloud-like ride, though.
Other neat highlights? Passengers at the will enjoy the rear entertainment system, while everyone can enjoy tunes via the 12-speaker Klipsch Premium Audio System. Also to be fitted standard in the all-new Patrol is ProPilot, the company’s latest advanced driver assist package.

As mentioned before, customers can now place a reservation for the 2025 Nissan Patrol via online or through the official dealer network. For the local launch, it will be held at the South Court in Power Plant Mall (Rockwell) on March 28, 2025 at 7PM. It will also be on display there until March 30, 2025.
