If you’ve been shopping around for a Nissan Terra these past few months, now might be the time to pull the trigger. That’s because the local-spec model gets a host of welcome updates for the 2024 model year.
Aside from that, these additional features and upgrades bring a new set of prices for the popular SUV, but more on that later. So, what’s new with it, then?

For starters, Nissan gave the entry-level VE 4x2 AT additional safety features that were previously exclusive for higher trim levels. It now comes equipped with a 360-degree camera, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert.
Also added to the VE grade are the intelligent rear-view mirror, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, and an electronic parking brake. For improved stopping power, even this base variant (finally) comes with rear disc brakes.

The mid-spec VL and top of the line Sport get a few upgrades as well. For both 2WD and 4WD models, these now come with a larger 9-inch touchscreen, as well as an 8-speaker Bose Premium Sound System. The entry-level EL MT carries over unchanged.
Mechanically, the Terra for 2024 soldiers on unchanged. All variants are powered by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel that's good for 189hp and 450Nm of torque. All variants except for the EL MT use a seven-speed automatic, while the base variant comes with a six-speed manual. four-wheel drive models come with hill descent control, as well as a center and rear locking differential.
