BMW left jaws on the floor after pulling the wraps off the new i5 M60 Touring. The all-electric wagon straddles the fine line between luxurious comfort (from its 5-Series heritage) and incredibly fast performance (courtesy of BMW M innovation).
Unveiled at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), the AWD BMW i5 M60 packs dual motors that put out some crazy numbers, so it will surely excite our fellow wagon lovers.

Powering the EV is a 81.2kWh battery that can reach a maximum range of 506km. Topping out at 230kph, the i5 M60 Touring produces 590hp and 795Nm of torque, but going into the tempting ‘Boost’ mode will up the ante to 601hp and 820Nm. Being an M Performance car, the i5 M60 Touring can also go from 0-100kph in about 3.8 seconds.
Housing these numbers is a classy 5-Series wagon chassis with a few upgrades from BMW M. The most noticeable of those upgrades are the carbon fiber plates laid throughout the car—from the front bumper to the side skirts. Under the body, BMW M adds its Adaptive Suspension and signature Sport Brakes to the 21in wheels.

In the cabin, drivers and passengers will enjoy that M Performance ride in proper 5-Series style. The seats are stitched with Merino leather, while the speaker system is supplied by Bowers & Wilkins.
When presented with a wagon, trunk space is just as important as fuel economy (or driving range in this case), and i5 M60 does not disappoint. After engaging the powered tailgate, supermarket shoppers get a deep 570 liters of storage space. And that can be further expanded up to 1,700 liters after the second row of seats fold down.
The BMW i5 M60 Touring is now available in the Philippiness for P7,990,000.
