SUVs are nice and all, but if it’s the ultimate family car you want, it’s hard to beat a minivan or an MPV. These cars have shuttling people in mind and as its top priority, and that’s helped by the acres of space and cargo room they provide.

Of course, not everyone wants one even if it’s the most suited vehicle for their needs. So, what’s one to do? One can either swallow the bitter pill (and pride) and pull the trigger, or come up with some sort of compromise. And then there’s the third way: Get one customized.

And that is exactly what Mark Zuckerberg did when it came time to get a minivan. The Zucc is apparently a big fan of Porsche, but there isn’t a model in its lineup that remotely resembles the vehicle he needs. Sure, there’s the Macan and Cayenne, but the Zuckerberg family needs something even bigger and more practical.

Which is why the CEO of Facebook bought a Porsche Cayenne and then proceeded to ask the wonderful folks of West Coast Customs to turn it into an minivan. If that shop sounds familiar, that’s because it’s the same one featured in Pimp My Ride from all those years ago.

No, they’ didn’t put a TV on the mudflap or a fountain in the trunk. This custom job is more on the sensible side. That said, turning the Porsche Cayenne into a minivan required some, er, invasive surgery. It had to be cut in the middle, extended, and reinforced to take on the vigors of family life.

But for us, the best part of the build is the dual sliding doors. Parents with vans, you’d understand and know that these things are a godsend, making ingress and egress so much easier. There are no photos of the interior, though, but we do spy a pair of captain’s chairs in the second row.

We don’t know for sure what kind of Cayenne the Zuckerberg’s turned into a family shuttle. From what we can tell, though, they chose a Cayenne Coupe as the basis of the minivan. Judging by the massive brakes, it could even be Turbo GT model. Its 650hp and 850Nm output from its 4.0-liter twin-turbo shouldn’t have any trouble lugging all that extra metal and parts following the body stretch.

Aside from the Cayenne, Zuckerberg picked up another Porsche for the weekend drive. He got himself a 911 GT3 Touring, too. And get this, it's a manual. We'd like to think he's doing his part to #savethemanuals with that choice.

Oh, the perks of having a net worth of over $206 billion.
