Suzuki Philippines has given its flagship MPV a sleek new facelift with the Suzuki L7 Hybrid Black Edition. The new XL7 was showcased alongside the recently released Fronx crossover, giving the Japanese carmaker two new electrified vehicles in its lineup.
Under the hood, the Black Edition hasn’t received any modifications, which makes this refresh solely aesthetic. To jog your memory, the XL7 Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-liter engine paired with a 12V mild-hybrid system, making a combined 103hp and 138Nm of torque. The powertrain is then mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
The Black Edition keeps the same cabin and seven-seater layout, but those new blacked-out finishes have raised prices by P7,000 on both the standard and two-tone finishes. That extra amount you shell out gets you black bumpers, side skirts, and door handles, along with a black roof rail and dark-tinted rear lamps. It certainly has a cleaner impression than the XL7 Hybrid colors, but let us know what you think.

The XL7 unit on display at the launch had a two-tone Snow White Pearl and Cool Black Pearl Metallic paint job, but we think Savana Ivory Metallic (pictured below), which has a more bronze-like and beige-looking hue, might look better with these extra black finishes.
