If you’re a doctor or a lawyer and you’re thinking of getting a new car soon, you’re in luck. We just learned that the all-new Subaru Forester is coming to our market in the fourth quarter of this year, maybe even as early as September.
The current Forester in showrooms now came out almost seven years ago, its eye-pleasing design a testament to its timeless look. Forester designs have always been iterative rather than disruptive, perhaps a reflection of its target market of doctors, lawyers, and professionals. But seven years is a long time, and a new one is due. The all-new model was announced last year.

The good news is the local wait for a hybrid Subaru is over. We will also be getting hybrid Foresters, maybe even the more powerful 2.5-liter version. This lets the Forester compete with its hybrid peers like the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V.

Expect newer versions of Subaru’s EyeSight safety suite, and a slightly bigger exterior body. The larger infotainment system seen in the current Outback should also be in the coming Forester.
While it’s too early to talk about price, we heard the pricing would be competitive with the aforementioned RAV4 and CR-V. Our first thought was, “but they’re so expensive now.” We’ll just have to wait and see if the final trims we get are worth the final prices.
