Nissan has revealed its new widebody vehicle at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon. Dubbed the Aura Nismo RS Concept, it signals the Japanese carmaker’s return to hot hatches, with a full-on production run already being explored.
This RS Concept is advertised as a more aerodynamic version of the previous Aura Nismo Agile Electric City Racer, with wider fenders and a sharper overall frame. It is also said to ride 20mm lower than its older iterations.

And it is no longer fully electric, as the Aura Nismo utilizes the e-Power hybrid system from the bigger X-Trail Nismo. Comprising a 1.5-liter turbo generator and dual motors, it’s rated for about 144hp and 250Nm of torque, while the front motor generates about 204hp and 330Nm, with the rear making 136hp and 195Nm. With this, the new Aura Nismo also gets the e-4orce all-wheel-drive system.

Being a Nismo vehicle, the concept has also been dressed with aerodynamically tuned accessories to help improve downforce and decrease drag. These include a Nismo-design front spoiler, side skirts, a rear diffuser, front fenders, side air splitters, and a dedicated rear spoiler.

The braking system has also been overhauled to accommodate the added weight from all the modifications. Large four-pot opposed-piston calipers have been placed up front, while two-pot mechanisms are mounted in the back.
All in all, the low-riding Aura Nismo sits at 4,262mm long, 1,880mm wide, and 1,485mm tall. 145mm of its width is attributed to just those wider fenders. It then sits on 18-inch Nismo LM GT4 wheels.
