Big news coming from Toyota over in Europe: An all-new EV is scheduled to debut on March 12, 2025. The Japanese carmaker posted a teaser on YouTube and highlighted the new EV’s, “sleek design,” among its other features.
Toyota did not give too much away, but from what we can gather from the teaser, European car buyers can expect a five-door, electric crossover with a long and thin silhouette. We could not gather the width from the teaser, but Toyota also promoted “space and comfort.”

You might have seen a couple of grey market Toyota bZ4x EVs cruising around Metro Manila, which should give you an idea of what design language Toyota is going for with its lineup of fully electric cars.
Much like the bZ4x, it looks like this new EV will also be built around long, clean sheets of metal that sharply curve around the exterior of the car. Though this one looks a lot glossier than the bZ4x. It looks similar to the Toyota bZ Compact SUV Concept that was showcased in Europe in 2022.
That concept was designed at Toyota offices in Nice, France, so a maiden debut in Europe seems appropriate. The concept and the teaser display the same low roofline, and sharp angular headlights. Hopefully, the production model will retain the two charging points found on the left and right sides of the concept, as well as those clean 21-inch wheels.
The interior of the concept is tied together by a curved display mounted up front, with an octagonal steering wheel situated in front of another curved display for the driver.
Toyota Motor Philippines has yet to bring its fully electric cars to the Philippines. Globally, Toyota is committed to building a comprehensive lineup of EVs as part of its Beyond Zero advocacy. Perhaps we’ll see the Toyota bZ4x in the Philippines after more of its electrified siblings are introduced and production-ready.
