You might have seen our story on the Daihatsu Gran Max from the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show. Those colorful builds further prove just how fun the Toyota Lite Ace can be, but Modellista’s work on the Toyota Sienta Juno shows exciting potential for a mini camper van.
Not to be confused with the Sienna minivan, the Sienta is a smaller, family focused vehicle that shares the same TNGA-B platform as the popular Yaris Cross. It’s originally a seven-seater, but Modellista has removed the five rear seats and refinished the floor with modular padding. This will allow campers to attach tables, chairs, and more cushions around their Sienta’s cabin—all configurable to their liking.

While we’re missing the passenger version of the Lite Ace here, it looks like this build actually lends itself better to the bare cabin of the panel van Lite Ace. Modellista showed off four presets that can accommodate two persons, all using the same modular furniture. Each build also comes with six overhead cabin lights and more durable floor mats, further selling its potential as a camper.

Toyota Sienta Juno ‘Chill’

The Chill set has two cushioned pads mounted across a bar-type or work table. Modellista has also prepared shorter tables that are good for one person, or in case campers want to relax on opposite ends of the cabin.
Toyota Sienta Juno ‘Refresh’

The Refresh trim just shows a bare Sienta Juno, with nothing attached to the floor and wall modules. Rather, this setup shows that two adults can sleep side by side in their sleeping bags. This might not be as feasible in the Lite Ace, as the Sienta is about 200mm longer.
Toyota Sienta Juno ‘Focus’

This setup is similar to the Chill, but with the bar table mounted just behind the two front seats. If parked in front of a lake or a mountain range, it might make for a better view. The Focus setup also displays the short and long risers that can both be used as seats, with and without the cushion.
Toyota Sienta Juno ‘Comfort’

Two shorter tables are mounted on opposite sides of the Sienta Juno, with a seat mounted on the other end of the cabin. This allows for maximum leg stretching, with a coffee cup just within reach.
Under the hood of the Sienta Juno is a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine that performs similarly to the Lite Ace. Over in Japan, the Siento can be had with a hybrid powertrain, and even an AWD system. Call us jealous. And while we’ve seen Lite Ace builds with off-roading kits, building a Sienta Juno-esque van might just be more useful for trips outside of camping.
