We’ve seen a lot of Toyota Tamaraw builds even before the model was officially launched here, thanks to builders in other countries going ham on the highly customizable utility vehicle. Local aftermarket builders and enthusiasts also got creative and did their own takes when the model finally reached our shores, transforming it from the Dropside, Utility Van, and Aluminum Cargo body styles initially available at launch.
Now, they get even more options with the introduction of three new body styles, all based on the diesel-powered long-wheelbase version of the vehicle. Check them out below:

These ‘official variants,’ as Toyota Motor Philippines calls them, may be ordered through any Toyota dealership in the country.

Each new variant caters to a different business use case. The Tamaraw Wing Van, equipped with wing doors on three sides, is “ideal for customers in the delivery, logistics, and car detailing business.” The body is made from fiberglass plastic, and the panels are lockable to secure your precious cargo and gear.

Meanwhile, the Tamaraw Mobile Store is fitted with aluminum composite panels and has a side-opening window that goes up when you’re ready to set up shop. Light fixtures, a foldable table, a cabinet windbreaker, and rear jackstands boost its functionality, and of course, the interior may be dressed up however you see fit.
Finally, the Tamaraw Food Truck is exactly that. It boasts a kitchen-ready layout and other fittings necessary for food prep: a water tank with a pump, a wastewater tank, and food-grade interiors. Like the Mobile Store, it comes with light fixtures, a foldable table, and rear jackstands.

“From working with our dealers to interacting with prospective customers, we saw the demand for these variants, resulting in the production of these business vehicles on a regular order scheme rather than indent order,” said Elijah Marcial, vice president for vehicle sales and operations at Toyota Motor Philippines. “These conversions further exhibit the Tamaraw’s flexibility, and we are happy to provide more options that fit the needs of Filipino entrepreneurs.
“With the increased availability, we hope for more Filipino MSMEs to grow their business with the Next Generation Tamaraw—because with the Tamaraw, abante posible.”
