It hasn’t even been three years since the Mazda CX-60 was launched in the Philippines, but it’s already getting a refresh. Ladies and gents, say hello to this update crossover.
Visually, it’s virtually the same. No aesthetic changes have been made to the exterior, as all of the updates here can be found on the inside and underneath.

As before, the CX-60 comes with either a 3.3-liter e-Skyactiv-G (gasoline) that does 280hp and 450Nm of torque or a 3.3-liter e-Skyactiv-D (diesel) that pushes out 250hp and 550Nm. Both six-cylinder powertrains are electrified, with a 48-volt hybrid system with a lithium-ion battery pack. Standard here is the Skyactiv-Drive eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. This gearbox has been improved for this update, promising a smoother and more responsive drive.

Mazda has also enhanced the overall ride experience, with softer rear springs and increased rebound rates for the dampers. The front suspension is also firmer with relocated front knuckle mounts that supposedly improve stability. Even the steering system has been recalibrated for better overall balance. Comfort is a notch higher across the board, but Mazda says it has made no sacrifices to the driving experience.

The interior is also still as premium as ever. It can still be had with tan nappa leather seats with quilted Leganu suede inserts, depending on the variant. The layout of the cabin has also been retained here. However, NVH levels are lower than ever, with the sound insulator material on the dashboard and the trunk-side trim being thicker and denser. Reinforced doors and a new steering column joint also reduce vibrations inside the cabin.
The CX-60 also still comes with a pair of 12.3-inch digital displays up front, with a 10.4-inch heads-up display for the driver. Mazda’s Driver Personalization System is also equipped here, which lets drivers achieve their ideal driving position based on height and eye position. The former is manually inputted in the system, the latter is detected by cameras inside the vehicle. The CX-60 also uses facial recognition to remember each driver’s preferences and set these automatically upon vehicle startup.

The new CX-60 can be had in three Takuminuri colors, namely: Rhodium White Premium, Soul Red Crystal, and Machine Gray. It can also be spec’d in Jet Black, Sonic Silver, Platinum Quartz, and Deep Crystal Blue. You can check out the official price list below.

“Since its launch in the Philippines, more than 800 CX-60 SUVs have been sold. This makes the Philippines the largest market for the CX-60 in Asia outside of Japan, a testament to it being well-received by Filipino buyers,” said Mazda Philippines president and CEO Steven Tan. “The new CX-60 enriches that by offering new refinements, making it even more unmatched in every way. These are much more than skin-deep, and are part of our commitment to continuous improvement.”
