Volkswagen Scirocco R Black Style

The Scirocco has long been one of the sportier models in the Volkswagen stable. Ever since it entered the scene in 1974, and later as a third-generation reintroduction in 2008, the car has been the two-door coupe of choice for those who appreciate beautiful machines.

Volkswagen hopes to further reinforce this appreciation with a new variant of the venerable sports coupe. The Scirocco R Black Style puts an emphasis on chic looks mixed with a design that is distinctively appealing. The roof gets the blacked-out treatment, and this is complemented by ebony mirror caps and similar-color 19-inch alloy wheels. Even the protective lug nuts are set in a dark hue. Grippy 235/35 R19 tires finish off the appearance.

Buyers can choose from Indium Gray Metallic, Urano Gray, Rising Blue Metallic, Pyramid Gold Metallic, Ultra Violet Metallic, Pure White, and the Volkswagen signature Onyx White Mother of Pearl (yep, that's a real color name). Each of these paint schemes complements the glossy-black contrast of the various exterior bits.

The Scirocco R Black Style is powered by the same 2.0-liter TSI 252hp motor as the regular R version. It can be ordered with either a six-speed manual transmission or a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This package is admittedly one more excellent reason for Volkswagen Philippines to bring in the car to our shores. Whether it’s this Black Style or even the regular variant, we simply hope the model will reach us soon.

Who knows? As our recent elections have shown, strange things always happen.
