In case you missed it, Xiaomi has entered the automotive world. Its first car, the SU7, has been released in its home market of China and could be potentially exported in the near future.

As a follow up, the company is lining up a crossover SUV. Given that the buying public can’t get enough of these wagons on tall tires, it was only a matter of time before they made one.

Xiaomi YU7

It’s called the Xiaomi YU7, and it’s set to be formally launched in China sometime in 2025. The YU7 will soon complement the SU7 sedan that was released earlier this year, and also uses the same platform underneath.

That said, the styling does remind us of a certain crossover from Ferrari. The While the front end does follow Xiaomi’s design language, the body bares a striking resemblance to the Purosangue. Whether it’s coincidence or not is up for debate, but it’s safe to say that the company wants to leave a strong impression.

Xiaomi YU7

It’s a preview for now, so full specifications of the Xiaomi YU7 haven’t been revealed yet. There are also no photos of the interior, but we can expect a barrage of screens in there. We could expect a similar treatment from the SU7 sedan. It could be the same case for the powertrain options with output figures that range from 295hp to 664hp.

The full reveal is expected to be sometime in 2025. Given that the Xiaomi has already revealed the design, there’s a good chance that the full debut will be during the first quarter.
