2024 saw a whole load of new brands that landed in the Philippines. One of them is Zeekr, one of China’s luxury EV automakers. They arrived here in June 2024 with two models, the 001 and the X.
But soon, we can expect a third model from the brand. That would be the 009, and it’s set to compete in the luxury MPV market. Think Alphard, but electric-powered.

Recently, the founder of AutoHub and distributor of Zeekr in the Philippines, Willy Tee Ten, announced that the reservations for the 009 are now open. With that, it confirms the arrival of the flagship MPV.
The Zeekr 009 was unveiled in China in late 2022 and arrived in showrooms there in 2023. Zeekr serves as the luxury arm of Geely, and the 009 also lends its platform to the Volvo EM90. It was also recently facelifted with that version being launched in China back in July. There’s a good chance we’ll get the new look locally.

It is yet to be determined what spec the Philippines will get, but home market versions are normally offered in either seven or six-seat configurations. There's also a four-seater version available that serves as the highest trim level and sold in limited numbers.
There are three electric powertrain options available. The first is with a 108kWh battery with a single motor that makes 416hp. The second is a dual-motor, all-wheel drive version that puts out 603hp. As for the top-spec six-seater model, it’s available with a 116kWh battery. Its dual motors then churn out 778hp.

The exact official launch date is yet to be determined. But with bookings now open, it’s only a matter of time before the local debut.
