Steven Tan, president and CEO of Mazda Philippines, has made it a tradition that new color availability for the Mazda MX-5 in the Philippines will first be announced to members of the Miata Club of the Philippines (MCP). And so it was that during the October 2026 gathering, MCP found out that the green Miata will arrive on Philippine shores by December 2026, just in time for Christmas.
Announced internationally earlier this year, the new color is called Zinc Green Metallic, which is the first time that the ND generation of the Miata has been made available in a shade of green.

Tan explained that the exterior color will be available for both Soft Top (ST) and Retractable Fastback (RF or hardtop) variants. For the Soft Top, initial units will come with a tan fabric top and tan napa leather seats, while the RF variant will have the option of tan or black leather seats.

For this batch, Soft Top buyers can choose between manual and automatic transmissions, while the RF comes only in automatic. Though the units are almost the same as the current ND3 being offered, Tan reminded MCP members that this is actually the ninth revision for the ND, meaning there has been tweaking and continuous improvement—or Kaizen—all done behind the scenes.
Pricing remains the same for both the Soft Top and the Retractable Fastback as current
Mazda offerings. The batch for the Philippine market has been ordered for November production, and 25 units shall reach our shores by December 2026.
