2013 Honda Civic

Just over a week ago, we reported that Honda had updated the Civic, with the car's new look to be officially unveiled at next week's Los Angeles Motor Show. Unfortunately, it seems like the new-look Civic will only be for the United States as Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) has no plans to bring it in.

"Sales of the Civic have been steady not only for the Philippines but for the ASEAN market as well," shared HCPI public relations manager Mitch Malto with TopGear.com.ph. "So Honda currently has no plans to also upgrade the Civic for the region."

Despite the drubbing the pre-face-lift model received from critics in the US, the sales figures tell a different story: Its sales have reportedly increased by over 38 percent year-to-date compared to last year's tally.

Well, if HCPI doesn't launch the revised Civic here, there's always A-Toy Bodykits and its "You Imagine, We Create" credo.
