Ford Philippines recently held its 2012 Dealer Convention to recognize the achievements of its dealers and partners in 2011 which helped the company post an all-time record in sales.
"Ford had a record year in the Philippines, and the unwavering commitment and dedication of our nationwide Ford dealer network played the key role in our shared success,” said Ford Group Philippines president Randy Krieger.
Ford Alabang was named Ford Philippines' 2011 Dealer of the Year for its "overall excellence in wholesale and retail sales and customer service." Besides bagging the highly coveted award, Ford Alabang was also named the top-selling dealer of the Fiesta and the Everest within Metro Manila. Its general manager, Paolo Borromeo, was recognized as General Manager of the Year.
Other dealerships that were honored during the event were the Cheng Group (Top Ford Dealer Sales Support Team), Ford Global City, Ford EDSA and Ford Commonwealth for topping the retail sales among Metro Manila dealers, and Ford Pampanga, Ford Cagayan de Oro, Ford Negros and Ford Subic for being the best retail sales generators among Ford Philippines' provincial dealers.
On the service front, Ford Libis was the big winner at Ford's 2011 Sales and Service Skills Olympics held in November, as it emerged overall champion. The same dealership was also acknowledged as Parts Team of the Year and Top Technical Support Operations Team.
"Our Ford dealer network is such as big part of the One Ford plan. They will certainly help our momentum continue in 2012 as we continue to enhance our customer-service experience and launch class-leading vehicles like the all-new Ranger," added Krieger.
Incidentally, the Ranger was on display at the NBC Tent during the event, causing quite a stir not only among the dealers but also among the lucky passersby who were able to catch a glimpse of it.
