Great Wall and Ricardo have agreed to collaborate for the Chinese brand's move to develop “high performance, high luxury and high technology” vehicles.

Some of the first products that will stem from this partnership will be based on Ricardo's core business of internationally competitive powertrains, including an advanced technology gasoline engine and a six-speed dual clutch transmission.

"Great Wall Motor Company is an ambitious organization with an extremely impressive forward development strategy that aims to establish the company with a future line-up of world-class products," Ricardo chief executive Dave Shemmans said in a statement. "This collaboration is a further demonstration of Ricardo's commitment to assist China's automakers by providing the very latest in advanced technology and innovation, along with best in class product development processes."
