Honda Jazz gets refreshed

Is it enough to excite you?
Mar 16, 2011

Honda Cars Philippines has tweaked the Honda Jazz to offer a "jazzier" version of the subcompact hatchback.

The 2011 Honda Jazz now comes with a new front bumper and front fog lights, as well as 16-inch alloy wheels for the 1.5-liter variant. The most exciting addition to this year's Jazz, however, are probably the paddle shifters. Other add-ons to the 2011 lineup include LED tail lights and a third brake light for safety.

The Jazz 1.5 V variant delivers a maximum output of 120ps at 6,600rpm and 145Nm of torque. The 1.3-liter variants put out 100ps at 6,000rpm and 128Nm of torque.

Honda Cars Philippines is selling the 2011 Jazz 1.5 V at P857,000, the 1.3 S with manual transmission at P752,000 and the 1.3 S with automatic transmission at P792,000.

The new Honda Jazz comes in Taffeta White, Crystal Black, Polished Metal, Alabaster Silver and a fresh shade called Brilliant Orange. Is this the Japanese carmaker's way of saying "Game on!" to the American brand, which has been making its mark in the hatchback market with its signature color?
