While the name \"Richard Yap\" may not sound familiar to you, we\'re sure you\'ve heard of the popular \"Sir Chief\" character he plays in a daytime TV soap opera. Well, Yap has been recently appointed by Nissan Motor Philippines to be its brand ambassador for the Almera subcompact sedan.
\"We believe that we have found the perfect match in the choice of Richard Yap, as he and the Nissan Almera perfectly express that it\'s not all about the bling,\" said NMPI president and CEO Allen Chen. \"The most understated characters sometimes provide the most substance, and in this case, we have a winning combination.\"
According to NMPI, Yap was the perfect choice to be its latest ambassador as he has \"an aura of dignity with an understated tinge of power and prestige.\"
\"The Nissan Almera also espouses the same character traits--strong value, unrivaled comfort with the largest interior space, fuel economy that will delight and an understated presence with a fluid styling design,\" added Lee Junia, NMPI\'s vice president for marketing, sales and after-sales.
As the Almera\'s brand ambassador, Yap will appear in print ads, billboards and showroom promotional materials. Public events that will feature Yap and the Almera are also in the works.
Expect housewives to soon be flocking to Nissan dealerships to buy an Almera.
