This year’s staging was supposed to be held in the third week of May. However, in light of recent events, the organizers have been forced to move the schedule to a later date—November 12-15, 2020, to be exact.
In addition to this, the show will be co-located with the Manila Auto Salon and the Sport Truck Show on the said dates. You can check out the announcement from the Trans Sport Show Facebook page below:
The official statement reads: “We just can’t let COVID-19 overwhelm us and dampen our spirit and enthusiasm for things we love. Trans Sport Show (the country’s longest running motor show) has survived two economic crises, a coup, and several calamities. We will face this most challenging one and will continue to create inspiring Trans Sport Show stories you can pass on to generations of car enthusiasts to come.
“The future with COVID-19 may be uncertain, but we still have November 12-15 to look forward to. And while we wait, we will bring you a virtual car show of Trans Sport Show from 1992-2019 featuring past winners, participants, stories, etc. So do stand by.”
There you have it. While the new schedule is still several months from now, we’re still not certain about what the situation will be like come November. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that things are better by then.
