ACMobility has been on a roll in 2024. It started the year with just 20 EV charging stations in key urban areas, but as the year closes, ACMobility is on track to have over 250 charging points in 100 different stations all over the Philippines before the end of 2024.
That is just the tip of the electrical iceberg that ACMobility will be progressively unveiling as we approach the tailend of 2024. The Ayala-owned company presented a slew of developments and projects at the 12th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit last October 25 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

Probably the most prominent announcement was that ACMobility will start collecting fees from its EV charging stations starting in December 2024. The charging stations located in NCR will be the first to implement the new payment structure while the rest of the stations will follow suit in 2025.
ACMobility did not comment on how much it would cost to use its AC and DC stations once December rolls in, but rather focused on payment methods.
And this leads us to GCash—the country’s largest e-wallet and cashless payment solution. ACMobility proudly announced a plan to integrate GCash into its EV chargers for easy payments and fund management.

The integration will likely be facilitated through EVRO, an app that helps users find EV chargers, track their charging in real time, and finally pay via credit card, debit card and now GCash. EVRO is already up and running on the App Store and Google Play Store.
As ACMobility works towards its goal of 100 charging stations by the end of 2024, a mobile charging station is also in the works—designed to bring the charging station to the driver. Dubbed ‘Power-on-Wheels,’ the project is set to deploy a fleet of electric vans equipped with DC chargers that should power up an EV from 20% to 80% in as fast as 45 minutes.
This is going to be helpful for EV drivers who live in condominum buildings, and other locations that make at-home or wall charging inaccessible. Those drivers will be able to book a charging session, and pay through an another app that is still in the works. ACMobility is also working on a range of monthly subscription plans for Power-on-Wheels that should make scheduling charging sessions easier, and include car cleaning and mechanical checks.
Created in collaboration with Power Up, Power-on-Wheels is slated to drive out in the latter part of Q1 next year. Power Up already has mobile charging units in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

Finally, ACMobility ended its presentation with a gift to prospective BYD owners. Those who purchase a BYD car from November 1 to December 31 will receive a P1,500 charging credit.
After just launching the Seal performance sedan, ACMobility is setting up all the systems to make owning an EV as convenient as possible.
