ACMobility, which, apart from being the local distributor of Kia and BYD Cars, also operates a network of electric vehicle charging stations in the country. The company began, uh, charging customers for the use of these chargers on December 12; prevailing rates are P28.5/kWh and P35/kWh for AC and DC charging, respectively.
Now, the company is introducing ACMobility Membership, a subscription program that offers up to 20% savings on EV charging fees compared with pay-as-you-go pricing.
Is this open to all EV owners, regardless of the brand of their EVs?

Yes, all EV owners may subscribe to the ACMobility Membership program. This is not limited to vehicle brands under ACMobility.

What are the ACMobility Membership plans available?

Currently, there are three plans on offer:
- Plan 1,200: P1,500 credits (good for 52kWh AC or 42kWh DC)
- Plan 2,000: P2,500 credits (good for 87kWh AC or 71kWh DC)
- Plan 4,000: P5,000 credits (good for 175kWh AC or 142kWh DC)
The monthly subscription to the program will be charged to the user’s credit card. The charging credits refresh every 30 days, and any unused credits expire at the end of the 30-day plan validity period. In addition, credits are non-transferable and non-refundable, and cannot be converted to cash or equivalents.
Planned future enhancements to the program, however, include “wallet sharing between users (which sounds like it could come in handy for families or companies that own multiple EVs), access within the GCash app, and a loyalty and rewards program for frequent users.
Once subscribed, how do you use your ACMobility Program credits?

The program is available exclusively through the Evro app, which is available for download on the App Store or the Google Play Store.
New and existing Evro users must link their account in-app to ACMobility Membership, and choose their preferred plan. Once registration is completed, the credits are ready for use.
- Proceed to an ACMobility charging station.
- Open the Evro app and select the chosen charging station.
- Plug the EV into the EV charger and scan the station’s QR code to pair the charger with the app.
- Choose ‘ACMobility Membership credits’ as the payment method.
- Click ‘Proceed to Pay’ to confirm and start the charging session.
- Once charging is completed, stop the session and unplug the vehicle.
If there are insufficient credits, the Evro app will prompt the user to choose a different payment method to cover the balance.
How do you change or cancel your membership?

This may be done through the ACMobility Membership Portal. Any changes or cancellations take effect at the end of the plan validity period.
“Our new ACMobility Membership program is designed with the future in mind, offering easy, affordable, and convenient charging solutions for the growing number of EV owners in the Philippines,” said Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, the company’s chief executive officer. “It reflects our commitment to accelerating the shift to cleaner transportation while honoring the loyalty and trust of our consumers by delivering value and hassle-free experience every time they charge their vehicles.”
