For a while now, EV owners have been enjoying free use of Ayala’s charging stations across the metro. That’s set to change, as ACMobility will start charging nominal fees starting December 12, 2024.

The company has confirmed that the Department of Energy (DOE) has approved this initiative to charge P28.5 per kWh for AC charging and P35 per kWh for DC charging in Metro Manila. The end goal is “to create a more sustainable and dependable charging network that EV owners can rely on.”

If you’re not an EV owner or you just haven’t tried out Ayala’s EV charging hubs, these stations can be used through the EVRO mobile app. Said app allows users to locate available and compatible stations, and it also has an integrated payment system which will soon be utilized as well.
