Part of what makes or breaks a deal when potential car buyers go out shopping is the maintenance—even if said buyer is browsing through the catalog of more luxurious brands like BMW.
If you’re currently on the lookout for a new car yourself and a Bimmer is among your options, you’ll be glad to know that SMC Asia Car Distributors (SMCACDC), the official importer and distributor of BMW in the Philippines, has now rolled out the BMW Extended Warranty Program.
Through this program, SMCACDC wants to guarantee its clientele of a worry-free ownership experience by extending the warranty of all brand-new vehicles bought from 2019 onwards to five years or 200,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
Some BMWs bought in 2018 may be covered by the extended warranty, too, granted that the cars have run less than 200,000km in total and their warranties are expiring in one month. “The prerequisite is that the vehicle has been correctly driven and that the maintenance, inspection, or services have been carried out in full and at the specified intervals as outlined by BMW,” the notice reads. Any eligible car from 2018 will have three years added to their warranty coverage and will now follow the new warranty mileage cap.
“As the first to introduce the longest and most comprehensive warranty package in the premium-car segment, BMW affirms its commitment to the discerning market and their vehicles,” said SMCACDC president Spencer Yu. “We want all BMW owners in the Philippines to know that we stand by our products and are always willing to make sure that we keep their cars in perfect condition for many years to come.”
If you already own a BMW, will you be covered by this program? If not, will this make you buy one now?
