GAC launched the Aion UT back in May this year as its entry in the electric subcompact hatchback space. Designed by the Chinese brand’s Milan Design Center and equipped with around 400km of NEDC range, it entered the market with a P998,000 special introductory price.
This introductory offer is now being extended until the end of the month, July 31, 2026. In total, potential buyers can enjoy up to P70,000 off from the small BEV’s P1,068,000 regular price tag. This includes the initial P50,000 introductory discount as well as the additional P20,000 special discount for the first 400 Aion UT units in the market.
As a refresher, the GAC Aion UT is powered by a single electric motor driving the front wheels rated at 134hp and 145Nm of torque, mated to a 44.13kWh LFP battery. This setup translates to an NEDC range of around 400km.

GAC describes the Aion UT’s exterior of gently curving slopes complemented with boxy elements as having ‘Milanese aesthetics.’ The car can be had in a variety of “gemstone-inspired” finishes: Champs-Elysees Beige, Emerald Green, Rococo White, Seine Silver, and two-tone Emerald Green/Rococo White.
GAC also received testimonials from Aion UT early bird owners, with praise being directed at the EV’s competitive spec and size at its price point. Competition in the BEV subcompact hatchback segment is heating up this year, with the likes of the Geely EX2 and the Chery QEV also having launched recently.
