Geely Philippines wants a piece of the fully electric hatchback pie, and here is its contender: the Geely EX2. This hatch has been teased and previewed several times before, but as of June 23, it has been officially released to the public.
Right away, it is set to compete with the likes of the Chery QEV and the GAC Aion UT—two other electric hatches released in 2026. With the EX2 now joining the fray, the BYD Seagull suddenly has a slew of new competition.

At launch, the EX2 is offered in two variants with introductory discounts of P40,000. With that, the base-level Pro starts at P898,000, while the fully loaded Max variant is priced at P998,000. Read below for the standard pricing.

Overall, the EX2 features a minimalist design, with a few accents and garnishes that blend into its curvy form factor. Up front, a pair of thin air intakes complement the new Geely emblem, while curved-off LED automatic headlights complete the fascia. Around back, the EX2 gets some extra heft with a thicker rear bumper and a rather wide spoiler mounted atop the tailgate.
In terms of dimensions, the hatch measures 4,135mm long, 1,805mm wide, and 1,580mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,650mm. Those who opt for the Pro variant will get 15-inch steelies, while the top Max trim gets 16-inch clover-shaped alloy wheels. Generally, laden ground clearance stays at 130mm across all configurations.

The EX2 offers a spacious cabin for five passengers and about 375 liters of rear cargo space. With the second-row seats folded, the main storage area expands to 1,320 liters. The EX2 also features a front trunk with 70 liters of space, and over 50 liters of additional storage hidden throughout the interior.
Vegan leather upholstery is standard across all variants, along with a large 14.6-inch main screen. Drivers also get an 8.8-inch digital panel and a steering wheel wrapped in microfiber leather. For charging, there are two USB ports up front and a single charging port in the second row. Where things vary is in the sound system—the EX2 Pro gets a four-speaker setup while the Max variant is equipped with six speakers.

Performance is also similar across both EX2 variants. A 39.4kWh lithium iron phosphate battery comes standard, powering a single rear-mounted motor with about 114hp and 150Nm of torque on tap. For stopping power, the EX2 gets ventilated and solid brakes on the front and rear, respectively. As for suspension, a McPherson setup is found up front, and a multi-link system is used around back.
In terms of driving range, Geely estimates that the EX2 should return between 325km and 395km on a full charge. The former is its WLTP estimate, while the latter is its NEDC figure. The EX2 can also accommodate DC fast charging up to 70kW, powering it up from 30% to 80% in 25 minutes.

While the EX2 comes standard with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Max variant gets a full suite of advanced driver-assistance aids, including adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and a 360-degree camera system. Notably, the EX2 Pro is equipped with a rear-view camera and basic safety settings.
On the EX2 Max, passengers also get a wireless charging pad, metallic garnishes on the side skirts, and a two-tone finish with a blacked-out roof. The interior is then outfitted with a 256-color ambient lighting system.
