Goodyear PH brings in latest wet-weather tire in time for rainy season

Goodyear Philippines has brought to the country its latest wet-weather tire, the Assurance TripleMax, which boasts the American tiremaker\'s latest HydroGrip Technology and \"delivers maximum grip for maximum assurance.\"

\"Setting a new standard in tire innovation, the Assurance TripleMax uses HydroGrip Technology, a Goodyear proprietary technology that allows drivers to reduce braking distances by more than two meters on wet roads compared with other tires in the market today,\" said Goodyear Philippines managing director Ron Castro.

According to Goodyear, the TripleMax name stands for: Maximum Wet Grip, thanks to an innovative polymer tread compound with improved molecular bonding that gives the tire that extra edge to grip wet and dry roads; Maximum Control, due to the larger surface area contact and optimized pressure distribution on key block elements to improve the tire\'s contact with the road; and Maximum Braking Ability, thanks to the tire\'s biting edges and large block elements that increase road contact area for extra security when braking.

Besides offering impressive wet-weather capabilities, the Assurance TripleMax is also very durable since it is equipped with DuPont Kevlar, which maintains the tire\'s stiffness and strength even under high-temperature conditions when the tire is in motion. Goodyear\'s Fuel Saving Technology is also incorporated into the tire, reducing its rolling resistance so that less energy is needed to push it forward. The tiremaker even claims that this will save the car owner \"up to P15,900 worth of fuel over the life span of the tires.\"

\"The Assurance TripleMax is Goodyear\'s response to deliver to consumers a tire they\'ve always wanted--one that focuses on increasing grip to improve safety, while also extending tire life span and maximizing fuel savings,\" Castro added.

The Assurance TripleMax tires are now available at Goodyear dealers in 14- to 17-inch rim diameters and in multiple sizes.
