Honda has revealed that its Indonesian car manufacturing subsidiary will unveil a brand-new, entry-level MPV developed specifically for the Asian market at the 21st Indonesia International Motor Show scheduled from September 19 to 29 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Jointly developed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific and P.T. Honda R&D Indonesia, the MPV will seat seven passengers in a three-row configuration, and features \"an innovative design, spacious cabin, and advanced safety that is already a hallmark of every Honda product.\" Powering it will be a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that supposedly provides a sporty performance and yet yields good fuel efficiency.

\"The new Honda MPV has been developed especially for the needs of customers and road characteristics in Indonesia,\" said P.T. Honda Prospect Motor president Tomoki Uchida. P.T. Honda Prospect Motor is Honda\'s Indonesian car manufacturing subsidiary.

\"This model will also be locally produced in Indonesia as the first product of its new second plant in Karawang, scheduled to begin operation in early 2014,\" revealed Uchida. \"This makes the new MPV a very special product for Honda in Indonesia.\"

Do you want Honda Cars Philippines to bring this here? And is this going to be an Innova (or Avanza, depending on the size) rival?
