Hyundai Motor Group bags seven 2020 Red Dot Design Awards

It earned honors for categories under the Brand & Communication Design area

Big wins for Hyundai Motor Company and Genesis today, as the two companies bag seven 2020 Red Dot Design Awards in the Brand & Communication Design area.

“Winning multiple Red Dot awards in the Brand & Communication Design is a great honor and showcases that Hyundai’s sustainable and innovative approach is vetted by our customers and experts,” said Hyundai Motor Company vice president and head of creative works group Sungwon Jee. “Hyundai will continue its efforts to communicate with customers in creative and innovative ways.”

Hyundai’s brand campaign film Second First Steps earned the ‘Best of the Best’ honors in the Advertising category. It showcases Hyundai’s H-MEX (Hyundai Medical Exoskeleton) wearable robotics technology through para-athlete and archer Jun-Boem Park’s “second first steps.”

Adding to the win column is the ‘Hi-Charger’—Hyundai’s ultra-fast EV charger that offers high-powered and efficient charging using an automated weight-free cable system—which earned honors in the Interface & User Experience Design category.

Hyundai’s ‘Future Mobility Solution Exhibition Hall’ installed in its headquarters garnered a win in the Fair Stands category. It provides both employees and visitors a glimpse of Hyundai’s vision for the future of mobility, displaying technologies and concepts that were previously shown at the 2020 Consumer Electronics Show.

Meanwhile, the Hyundai-operated ‘FIFA World Football Museum’ in downtown Paris during the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup earned a win in the Spatial Communication category.

Completing the list of winners for the Hyundai brand is the ‘Hyundai X BTS Goods’ collection, which was awarded in the Advertising category. This was part of the company’s ‘Global Hydrogen Campaign’ launch in January 2020.

Genesis, on the other hand, garnered a win for the copper design in the Genesis Infotainment System that was recently introduced in the new GV80 and G80. This was also under the Interface & User Experience Design category and is the first Red Dot Award that the Hyundai Motor Group received for its infotainment system.
