Insurance company Manulife has partnered with Grab to provide passengers with information on the importance of saving, investing, and life insurance.
As a result of the collaboration, 200 Manulife-branded GrabCars are now operational on the streets of Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Each unit is installed with a tablet on which passengers can view informative videos about insurance and other financial services.
After each video, passengers have the option to schedule an appointment with a financial adviser through an online form. All those interested need only to provide his or her name, e-mail address, and preferred appointment date. Manulife will then match them with a financial adviser based on the given information.
Ryan Charland, president and CEO of Manulife Philippines, says: “In our commitment to provide innovative financial solutions to our customers, we are using technology to make it easier for them to plan for their futures. With our partnership with Grab, we’ll be able to make Filipinos’ time in transit more productive by showing them ways they can manage their finances and secure their futures.”
“Manulife and Grab share the same vision of improving the lives of Filipinos,” says Cindy Toh, country marketing head of Grab Philippines. “As the leading online-to-offline mobile platform in Southeast Asia, we are glad that this partnership with Manulife will allow our consumers to use their time on the road to plan their future.”
At the very least, this is a more creative approach to increasing financial literacy among Filipinos. Would you consider signing up for this?
