Morris Garages, better known as MG, has rolled out quite a lineup of vehicles throughout its recent resurgence over the past decade. Here in the Philippines alone, we have models such as the MG 6 and the ZS, two tastefully designed nameplates in their own rights.
And by the looks of it, the carmaker is set to continue creating more stylish vehicles in the future under SAIC Motor—the newly launched 5 and Pilot are proof of that. One of the main reasons behind all that is this: The brand’s newly opened Advanced London Design Studio, a creative space where more of the brand’s modern design and concepts will come to life.
“Over the past six years we have formed strong relationships with many pioneering institutions, and the opening of the Advanced London Design Studio will help us further our commitment to growing talent by placing us firmly in the heart of one the globe’s design destinations,” says SAIC Design—European Advanced Design director Carl Gotham.
MG’s new studio also hosts the SAIC Design Challenge in Europe, an annual design competition in the region. “We will continue to search for the best creative talent and we hope that, through the internationalized platform built by SAIC, the designers will flourish and grow within the design industry. Creative energy, high potential, ambition, and dreams will encourage them to become future design industry stars,” Gotham added.
