Motor Image Pilipinas, the country’s exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles, is launching the all-new WRX STI in a big way by putting no less than world-renowned precision driver and frequent Manila International Auto Show guest Russ Swift behind the wheel in his much-anticipated stunt-driving show.
After flogging the BRZ at last year's event--which incidentally also served as the car’s local launch venue--it's now the all-new WRX STI’s turn to be driven by Swift in new variations of his popular stunts like the J-turn and the tight parallel-parking maneuvers. This will also be the first time that Swift will be driving the WRX STI, so it will be exciting to see how quickly he can adjust to the car.
Surprisingly, all the cars Swift uses for his stunts are production units and have not been modified in any way for his performances. This means that the cars can withstand the punishing forces that Swift places on them with each and every stunt without any issues whatsoever. And since his stunt shows are staged three times daily, you can just imagine the strain these cars go through every day for the four-day event.
