The first Nismo Performance Center outside Japan has just opened in Melbourne, Australia. “Why Australia?”, you might ask. According to Nissan, the land Down Under was chosen due to its storied relationship with the Nismo brand.
“Our focus is on bringing the brand closer to customers in the right markets, with the right products, services and experiences,” said Yutaka Sanada, global head of Nismo. “Australia is a natural priority because of its mature performance culture, strong GT-R community, and clear appetite for authentic Nismo heritage, performance parts, technical expertise and motorsport-driven experiences.”

The center will now offer “advanced vehicle restoration programs,” while also supplying customers with authentic Nismo parts. Certified technicians, or Nismo Meisters, will be at the heart of the facility.

The Melbourne location is expected to be the first of many, with additional centers in the pipeline. Nissan may also add more components to the performance centers to give customers more access to the wider Nismo ecosystem, but the specifics were not disclosed.

Nevertheless, the Nismo Performance Center Melbourne opens at a timely season for the Nissan faithful. In December 2025, several global restoration initiatives have been confirmed, which include parts and services for the Skyline GT-R R32, R33, and R34. More models will be added soon, and the program will extend to other international markets.
While we’re excited to see what restored or refurbished models the Melbourne center will crank out, we can’t help but wonder. “Nismo Performance Center Manila” does have a nice ring to it.
