It goes without saying that a ton of motorists in the Philippines could benefit from a little extra knowledge on how to behave while behind the wheel. Petron, in an attempt to fortify the Filipinos’ driving habits, is launching a campaign that aims to educate, inform, and remind for the sake of fuel and safety.
The oil company’s “Fuel Wise” campaign hopes to instill proper driving, car maintenance, and fuel-saving habits in Pinoy motorists via signs, banners, and electronic billboards scattered throughout the country.
Below are some of the messages you might come across on the road:
- “Going for a long drive? Aside from checking your engine and gears, remember to take note of emergency hotlines and emergency stops on major highways. Fuel Wise.”
- “Replacing clogged air filters regularly can improve engine performance and increase acceleration time and gas mileage. Fuel Wise.”
- “Replacing clogged air filters regularly can improve engine performance and increase acceleration time and gas mileage. Fuel Wise.”
Besides these messages and tips, the company will also be conducting stickering activities to help get the word out.
We know, we know, a lot of this stuff is probably basic knowledge to car guys at this point. But that’s the thing: Not everyone behind the wheel is one. There are thousands of new car owners out there that could use this extra information.
