TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - PIMS 2014: Isuzu MU-X to be launched at motor show

It's no secret anymore that the Isuzu MU-X, the successor to the Alterra SUV, is here. We were first informed about it by an executive of the Japanese truckmaker a month ago, and just last week, a reader sent us photos of what may be the first batch of the SUV's Philippine-market units sitting pretty in the Port of Batangas.

Now, with the MU-X already here and with the opening of the 2014 Philippine International Motor Show happening in September, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the midsize SUV might be launched at the biennial automotive event.

Well, at the launch of the D-Max X-Series last night, we confirmed with an Isuzu Philippines official that the MU-X will indeed be launched at next month's motor show. As for the name, our source would only say that IPC will likely keep the MU-X tag in keeping with the global name of the model.
