If you happen to be a fresh engineering graduate who has yet to find a job, then perhaps this might be the break you've been looking for: Nissan's luxury car brand Infiniti is launching a global talent search for its Infiniti Performance Engineering Academy.
Recruitment for the academy is due to begin later this year, with national selections across several regions globally beginning in May 2014. The applicants will go through a comprehensive selection process "to assess their performance potential and innovative thinking." The finalists will then present their ideas to a panel of senior technical figures from both Infiniti and Red Bull Racing in July 2014, with two successful applicants being announced at the British Grand Prix.
By September 2014, the two winning candidates will begin their 12-month assignment working with Infiniti at its technical center in Cranfield in the UK and with Red Bull Racing's engineers at its nearby Milton Keynes headquarters.
Other than the opportunity to work with both Infiniti and Red Bull, the two successful applicants will also receive "a salary, accommodations, and the use of a car."
According to Infiniti, further details of the Infiniti Performance Engineering Academy--including how to apply and exactly when the recruitment starts--will be released "in due course."
Let's just hope that the term "global talent search" includes the Philippines.
