Suzuki Philippines just released 200 units of its Carry workhorse, the vehicle that was launched in our market just last year. Receiving the units was Internet service provider Converge Communications & Information Technology Solutions, Inc.
Before anything else, here’s a quick rundown of the Carry: it’s powered by a 1.5-liter K15B engine that generates 95hp and 135Nm of torque that’s mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The base Cab and Chassis variant is priced at P499,000, while the standard Truck version comes with a P509,000 price tag.
The Suzuki Carry units were officially released by Suzuki Auto San Fernando during a turnover ceremony held back in September, during which officials from the Laus Group of Companies and Converge were present.
With almost all households these days in dire need of Internet connection due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, an acquisition like will serve as a welcome boost for a company like Converge. Suzuki’s official statement reads: “The Carry is backed by more than 40 years of Suzuki compact truck experience in different environments and weather condition, which makes it the most suitable vehicle for Converge with all the daily field work required to ensure their clients’ satisfaction.”
