Toyota Malaysia has revealed its local-market specs for the upcoming, next-generation Corolla Altis. While the specs list may not be exactly the same as what we'll be getting when the car is launched by Toyota Motor Philippines in January 2014, it at least gives us an idea of what to expect from the Philippine-market model.
According to Toyota Malaysia's website, the all-new Corolla Altis is available either as a 1.8-liter model that puts out 137hp and 173Nm, or as two 2.0-liter variants that both produce 143hp and 187Nm. Toyota Malaysia added that both powerplant offerings are Euro II emissions-certified (yes, just Euro II). Putting the power down to the front wheels for all three variants is a seven-speed continuously variable transmission with sequential shift feature.
What sets the top-spec Corolla Altis apart from the other two variants are its paddle shift-equipped transmission, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlights, smoked-finish radiator grille, leather seats with eight-way power-adjustable features and lumbar support for the driver's seat, vehicle stability control, and traction control.
So, what do you think of the features of the next-generation Corolla Altis? Which ones do you think will make it to the Philippine-market variants?
